I've linked to three web videos that I believe very relevant; both in the context of business and life in general. The first two are by Professor Randy Pausch. He was an accomplished computer scientist and tenured professor at Carnegie Mellon, and was considered to be one of the foremost minds in of his field. He was diagnosed with incurable cancer, and yet chose to give these two lectures.

The final video is related to the field of marketing. As a business owner this has been the most challenging aspect of my job. I've found the advice on this video to be useful at pragmatic level. That is to say, we've made money by following the presenter's advice.

Randy Pausch Lecture: Time Management

Time is each person's most valuable commodity. This will become more and more apparent as you enter adulthood. I've found that if an individual is effective at managing their time, they are effective at managing their life. Everything has an opportunity cost both in time and money.

The "Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch

There is a lot of practical advice in this presentation. Some of it may not be apparent until later. The best advice I can give is acknowledge that at this point in your life you don't even realize what you don't know. High school teaches you how to find answers. The years after high school teaches what questions to ask.
